The Global Beauty Group was founded with a mission to make people feel wonderful, by delivering cutting-edge aesthetic technology supported by industry-leading business resources for beauty professionals.
Co-founders Kane Hammond (CEO) and Gary Posner (CFO) launched the business after identifying a critical gap in the market: while many beauty equipment suppliers offered quality technology, few provided the essential support services clinics needed to truly thrive. Their vision was to build a company that not only delivered results-driven devices, but also backed them with exceptional education, engineering, marketing, and customer support to empower long-term client success.
After searching the globe for world-leading devices, The Global Beauty Group launched what would become our signature benchmark of aesthetic excellence – our own proprietary technology range, the LUX Series.
Since then, the LUX Series has continued to evolve across multiple generations, with continual innovation in technology, functionality, usability, interface, and design. This foundational year saw the development of now-iconic devices such as UltraLUX, UltraLASE and SlimLUX – technologies that would go on to become some of Australia’s most-loved and trusted aesthetic systems.
This year marked a major milestone as The Global Beauty Group expanded into New Zealand and proudly reached our first 300 clients across Australia and New Zealand.
The overwhelming demand for high-performance, innovative technology, combined with our commitment to industry-leading service and support, solidified our reputation as a trusted partner to beauty and aesthetic businesses. This growth validated our mission and inspired us to keep pushing the boundaries of what’s possible for our clients.
This year marked a period of significant growth as we expanded our in-house Clinical, Engineering, Marketing Support, and Product Development service, establishing what would become a defining hallmark of The Global Beauty Group.
We also took a bold leap forward in innovation with the launch of our first Australian-engineered device, EpiLUX. For the first time, product design, from concept and GUI, to user experience optimisation, engineering, and aesthetic styling, was brought entirely in-house. This milestone marked the beginning of a new era, fusing clinical insight with local engineering and user experience expertise to meet the evolving needs of our clients with precision and purpose.
To support our growing team and client base, The Global Beauty Group moved into a new, customised headquarters at 1/148 Chesterfield Road, Moorabbin.
This new space featured three dedicated training rooms, a large engineering and technical support centre, and expanded warehousing for both online and onsite operations. This marked a major step forward in our ability to deliver even greater service, education, and support to our clients across Australia and New Zealand.
In 2016, we proudly launched the award-winning SuperLUX, our advanced multifunctional device that quickly became a clinic favourite across Australia and New Zealand.
SuperLUX marked a major leap forward in IPL technology with the introduction of SHR (Super Hair Removal) mode, offering faster, more comfortable treatments and broader client suitability. With now over 500 SuperLUX+SuperLUX PRO owners created, and recognition as 'Best Multifunction Equipment' in the 'Dermascope Aesthetician’s Choice Awards', SuperLUX has earned its place as one of the most trusted and results-driven platforms in the industry.
Reaching over 1,000 clients in 2017, our client obsession reached new heights as we deepened our focus on understanding the in-clinic experience to better support our salon, spa, clinic and practice clients.
To better serve the real-world needs of our partners, we enhanced our clinical, training, education, engineering, and marketing support offerings. Driven by meaningful insights directly from our clients. Long-term clients and partners joined us at our annual Strategy Day for a special panel discussion, providing firsthand perspectives into client experiences that would go on to shape our support programs for the year, and the decade, to come.
In 2018, The Global Beauty Group proudly took home our very first Australian Beauty Industry Award for 'National Wholesaler of the Year' as voted by our valued clients.
This honour was a meaningful recognition of the service, support, and results we strive to deliver every day. Being chosen by the very industry we serve made this milestone even more special—and fuelled our continued commitment to empowering beauty and aesthetic businesses to thrive.
This year also saw us take home our first 'MyFaceMyBody' awards for 'Best Marketing Support' and 'Best Sales Representative'. This further celebrated our dedication to personalised support and delivering real business impact for our clients.
2019 marked the official launch of MediLUX—our next-generation medical-grade LED light therapy system, designed and engineered to deliver advanced, results-driven skin treatments with the industry’s highest-powered LED on the market.
Built to meet the growing demand for non-invasive, clinically proven technology, MediLUX combined innovation, versatility, and ease of use to support real results across acne, ageing, redness, pigmentation, and wound healing. Its debut further cemented our commitment to providing technology that empowers clinics with confidence, credibility, and client satisfaction.
MediLUX was recognised globally as a finalist in the 'Pure Beauty Awards' for 'Best Professional Treatment', and today, it is trusted by over 800 clinics around the world.
As the world faced the challenges of COVID-19, 2020 became a year of rapid adaptation, reflection, and evolution for our team at The Global Beauty Group.
Expediting the launch of our Education HUB, we rapidly optimised our award-winning education and support services for online deliveryto ensure clinics could continue learning, growing, and preparing for the future. Education HUB—later recognised with multiple accolades including the 'LearnX Best Learning Model' award (2022, 2023, 2024) and 'ABIA Educator of the Year' award (2022, 2024)—set new standards in medi-aesthetic and salon equipment education. With interactive courses, accessible resources, and blended learning options, it gave clinics the tools and confidence to deliver safe, high-performance treatments when they needed it most.
With growing international demand for the LUX Series range, 2021 marked a major step forward in our global expansion with the appointment of our first Export Sales Manager.
This milestone enabled us to introduce our Australian-engineered LUX Series technology to forward-thinking clinics and salons across now more than eight countries—including Poland, Belgium, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, the UK, and Ireland. The year reflected our commitment to elevating aesthetic outcomes not just at home, but around the world.
